Last night Doug and I went to dinner at a lovely little Italian restaurant in Montecito and who should walk in?!?!? Carol Burnett !!! I freaked. Doug was worried I was going to run over to her table, but I patiently waited for them to be finished. When she and her friend were getting ready to leave I went outside with a napkin and asked her for her autograph. I told her how much joy she brought us all and how fabulous I thought she was/is and her politics!!! What a great precursor to election day. Speaking of which, I am off to work the polls, it’s 5:15 am. Pray for a better day and VOTE for a better day!!!
