Here on the coast in Santa Barbara we have datura, just like in the desert. How funny a plant like this can grow in two such opposite environments!! Also in Santa Barbara is the dollar store and they have pretty plastic from China.
I have been experimenting with some new glazes and some trying black clay. Using the clear glaze on the black clay revealed a metallic speckled golden sheen with many colors. Beautiful Brown Pelicans could be seen on the coast of Santa Barbara this week as many were disoriented from the storm and hungry. Here are a couple of shots from the day. See the rest on flickR.
